another very handy product... very nice for sealing butt connecttors, is.. Liquid Electrical Tape .

it's vinyl I believe ( comes in black or red that I've seen ) in a jar with brush on the cap. Just excellent for sealing little crevices against water .. even works on things like roofing screws , and perfect for sealing the open ends of butt connectors in wiring.
