The water pump saga continues.
Visited with Jim Connel at Jims Aircooled VW this morning. Picked up a
replacement crossover pipe. This afternoon, Matt Lester, a friend and
Subiegon driver came over. We attemped on more time to remove the crossover
pipe allen head screws and it was no go. Broke out the sawzall and made
quick work of the pipe. Removed the bolts holding the metal pipe to the
thermostat, and the the bolt holding the pump, a and it was done. Water
pump removal completed. It's new home is the trash bin. Will begin tomorrow
to install the new Hepu pump and replace the crossover pipe.
Such fun!
