Ouch! Good luck with that, these transmissions are specific to the Eurovan, expensive, and rare. I think he's looking at German Transaxle for a rebuilt one without a core to exchange. $4000 for the tranny plus $3500 core charge. If it's not an EVC, it might be time to scrap it. An EVC is definitely worth $7500 to fix though. Ed's Transmission Northgate in Seattle usually has these on the shelf, If Seattle is closer than Bend.
