I don't know about the worry of keeping a Westie totally factory stock, having never owned a true Westie. I don't care for canvas pop top campers... and I didn't want the roof wind resistance, living in the Columbia River gorge... I have a Westfakia camper, a tin top that I bought a complete westie interior for..($300, used and I had to remove it myself...glad I did because I learned how it was installed) I installed it into my 84 tin top but I declined to intall the closet and the back overhead, wanting the open area for room to load things, and to make the camper's interior more roomy..... I didn't see a simple way to modify the cabinetry on the fridge/stove/water tank area, so I stuck with the standard bed, which IS somewhat narrow for two....Instead of just leaving a hole over there where the Closet stood, I simply extended a shelf out from the pantry/water tank cab. at the same level.... It serves as a night table...It also provides a longer area for duffel bags or tool boxes, in my case. All that stuff comes apart, and it goes back in fairly easily...I found all the right bolt holes and threaded inserts already in place in my plain jane tintop. While the bed is the same size still, it feels pretty large when you can look right out either side, and you do have some 'elbow room' when you sleep heads rear,
