I would only remove it if adding another oil cooling system. For those that use there vehices for short trip winter driving I would leave it with an add on cooler to get the benefit of a faster warm up, especially in real frigid tempartures.

I think Dennis has a point by removing the stock oil cooler - which I call it a heat exchanger -

I am thinking about removing it too ...

but I am not sure....

is that stock oil cooler/heat exchanger get the heat from the coolant or cooling the oil via the coolant?
