I recall running that pipe under pulley to be kind of a pain. IIRC, I installed the RH hose to elbow at head, positioned pipe under pulley and onto hose, clamped it. (clamp obviously on hose beforehand).

If the old big pipe to pump is not rusty, I'd suggest a good weldor could patch up that cut for not too much money. .... assuming you can line up the parts. As for the big pipe and pump, I attached the big pipe after pump on.
