This is great info.

To remove the spring I will take off the lower shock bolt then continue to jack up the van until the spring comes loose leaving the wheel on the ground. Is there anything I need to be careful of so that no damage is done to the van? Things are going to get stretched out until that spring can be removed and then replaced with the shim. the Spring feels rust free as far as I can feel with my fingers and this would be consistent with the rest of the van. So I’m not expecting to replace the springs at this time.
