I have a Gowesty 2450cc same as 2.1 really. With the 1.9 it might be a
little easier for you. I think your coolant lines that tie into the tanks
are longer so you have more lead way.
now that i know you have the 1.9 , try to remove the stock tank first
without unclamping the hoses. keep the tank up high over the engine and
then maybe drain some out of the tank into a bucket, might need an extra
pair of hands to hold the hoses vertical so theres no air in the system.
with the hoses held vertical keeping coolant in the lines then attach new
tank, might even see if you can fill the tank as much as you can with the
coolant while its vertical and not installed. then install in place then
top off the tank.
the reason i say this is because I think on the 1.9 the coolant hoses route
up above where the coolant bottle sits. if thats the case then itll be very
easy to introduce air into the system so itll be a little more work to keep
air out as opposed to the 2.1 design.
give it a looksee and try to remove the tank without draining the connected
coolant hoses. that'll be key in keeping the system free of air.
if you can't then youll have to bleed the system which isnt that bad.
