I'll pul over to get some fuel and upon starting the Westy again the engine will start great but then goes into a maybe "a super rich mode" like it wants to foul the plugs. I will then give the accelerator half throttle until it runs smoothly again. It takes about a minute for it to run clean out and run great. Down the interstate it runs great. > Trying to this figure this out and what do I do. I have replaced fuel injectors etc. but have put on about 4000 miles on it in Newfoundland and Quebec hoping that it would work it self out. We leave on our next trip in a few weeks. I don't know if I am causing damaged to my 2.2 GOWESTY engine or whats going on. > Any suggestions on what I should be looking for? > > 1988 Westy GL > > Dennis > > Dennis Jowell > Scotch Hollow Farm > Newbury, Vermont > |
