hi all

Has anyone fabricated these covers with residential HVAC "tin" ?

Haven't really thought this through but I bet it would provide a similar amount of protection as the OEM cover. Especially if two layers were used. That said, there might be a built in weakness at points where it screws to the engine?

I'm thinking from the POV of the "everyman/woman" owner. This material would be easy to find, shape, and should provide decent corrosion resistance.

Neil.
