As a "Weekender" owner 3 times over, I have to say that, if your reason for buying a VW Westy was that you camp, the Weekender (pop top, no stove, no sink) meets one's camping needs quite nicely -- one step up from a tent with room for Dad, Mom, Grandpa, and Grandma, kids, and grand kids to join in and sing along. It's not a slow car, it's a fast house.
