There is no direct connection between the level sensor and the temp gauge. The level sensor just has a wire to the coolant level control warning control unit "relay". That relay then has an output wire that feeds the temp gauge sender input. The relay isolates the level sensor probes and level sensor wires from the temp gauge. Mark
