That works for the guy who owns the dogs and the fences involved. But strangers walking down the road are not likely to be aware of the whip or its proper use when the dogs attack, which the ones in Edmond did. I am told that the wireless fence was shown to be working properly.

Not whipping the dog, just cracking the whip when the dog looks like it's going to make a dash is enough. > > So the whip is permanently by the gate so you can easily grab it if the buggers make a break for it while you are getting in and out of the van, opening and closing the gate. > > Yeah, an automatic gate sounds really good. > > Dogs involved, a pair of wolfhound crosses. > > Alistair > > > > > On Oct 2, 2015, at 4:06 PM, Dave Mcneely <mcneely4@COX.NET> wrote: > > > > Those wireless electrical dog fences are absolutely invisible. But in Edmond, OK, a vicious dog overcame the hit and attacked a woman and child on the public sidewalk. I think the litigation is still ongoing, and the city has not yet revised its ordinance, but is in the process of reviewing it. Ordinance in question being the one that requires that dogs be confined or on leash. > > > > ---- Sudhir Desai <sudhir.desai@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > >> Electric fences even more so (invisible). > >>> On Oct 2, 2015 3:18 PM, "Stephen Grisanti" <bike2vcu@yahoo.com> wrote: > >>> > >>> The grey ones are nearly invisible. > >>> > >>> Stephen > >>> > >>> mobile > >>> > >>>> On Oct 2, 2015, at 12:48 PM, Dan N <dn92610@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > >>>> > >>>> a Friday story... > >>>> > >>>> last week I went to the city desk and ask for rules and regulations > >>>> regarding a fence I want to improve/change... > >>>> > >>>> at the desk the clerk asked my address and look up on the computer.. > >>>> > >>>> clerk: so ... you're the owner of the house with VW vans in front of > >>> it...? > >>>> > >>>> me (very surprise):.. err. yes.. how do you know?.. anything wrong? > >>>> > >>>> clerk: no...you're the only one who has vanagons on the driveway around > >>>> here.... my boss drive a vanagon and we talked about it all the time.. > >>>> > >>>> er... now I am tagged... > >>>> > >>>> is it easy to hide with a vanagon? > >>>> > >>>> :-) > > > > -- > > David McNeely
