I have learned, 'the hard way' that, generally 'Charity is not Empowering' . So I don't do it much .. since it doesn't seem to really energize and empower people.. rather, they tend to expect handouts, like that's the normal way now.

whole other subject of course, so wont' say much .. I would say that 'younger people' tend to expect charity .. I alxo think they gov offers way too much to way too many people ..thus enslaving people to being semi-dysfunctional. They encourage it even. ( I know people on SSI that are no more depressed, or bipolar, or physically in pain than I am. ) Too political I know.

Doesn't bother me that these guys are seeking crowdfunding...it's the modern way. I'm not particularity motivated to help pay for their project . and so far, i don't get that it's particularly any different than thousands of other long van trips, even documented ones. Like what's new and different about this journey really ?

but hey ..they are free to Ask all they want !
