Does anyone have any knowledge about GoWesty's aftermarket Syncro driveshaft? It's half the price of their (or anyone else's) rebuilt factory shafts. It is built without the rubber doughnut. My factory drive shaft is vibrating around 45mph. Below 40 and above 50 it's fine. Inspecting my shaft it looks like a balancing weight might have fallen off, there's a rectangular patch of darker black paint about 1"x2"x1/4". There is a similar sized piece of steel in another location still on the shaft. I've tried to find a shop that might balance and/or service the u-joints, but no luck in here in Vermont. I could ship it out, but in the end, with shipping and waiting, would I be better off with a new shaft? I've heard the output flange coming from the trans could be suspect. When I bought the vehicle the shaft was not installed. The flange face was indeed corroded. The PO was a surf fisherman and used the van for beach camping. Any other thoughts?
