We took Olly up to the Texas Busfest near this past weekend, and the van ran without incident. Fuel mileage was terrible due to having the canoe on top, but that’s to be expected. The worst thing was that I “discovered” that I really need to do some suspension work. We’re not bottoming out yet, but there’s way more sway than I want to feel when we’re fully loaded. So I’ve got my work cut out for me. Otherwise it was a good trip, and was great to meet fellow Texas Vanagon owners. I’ve posted a full writeup on the blog (with pictures!), if you’re interested in such things. Jarrett Olly, '89 Westy, Bostig conversion |
