See if one of the vendors who also services Vanagons can pull one from a scrapped case. There should be plenty.  I'd start with Van Café, then GW.  Also start a new thread on the list looking for this stud. Someone will have it.

The trick will be removing it. You may need to weld a bolt onto the broken end if you can't double nut or Vice-Grip it out.

Hmmm! Must be mine was broken off at some point. It's got to be relaced to mount the brackets an tignten them down. On more pia to have to deal with.
It's always something.
