Anyone know of a mechanic in the Chicago area that knows Vanagons? I need to replace replace the leaking main seal (big job) on my 1.9 85 westy along with some other "concerns" that need looking after. Chicago seems to be a desert for vanagon knowledgeable mechanics. I've used the Roadhouse site and got burned a couple of years ago at a local shop so I'm looking for recommendations from anyone local who has had recent success with mechanical work on their vanagon. Willing to travel a bit to a shop and would like to get it done before winter sets in. Thanks for any help. Spencer |
