Someone kindly forwarded this to me: http://www.diagnosticnews.com/starter-solenoids-and-continuous-duty-solenoids/ This is for car stereo stuff but http://www.bcae1.com/battiso.htm Reading further, it seems that the continuous and intermittent duty solenoids each have different coil types, thus resistance, due to the amount of current each is asked to pass. But don't "quote me on that". lol. Neil.
