Does it do it regardless of the engine temp? Does your Idle Stabilizer Valve work? Did you check the timing?

Pat

Hi All,

The patient: 1990 Vanagon Camper Stock 2.1 engine Manual transmission

The symptoms:

Hesitates just after shifting while accelerating. Hesitates when changing pressure up on the accelerator. Release and it stops hesitating.

It idles fine. Revs fine with no load.

So I'm not sure what's going on here. Fuel pump? Fuel filter? Ignition: just changed the plugs/cap/rotor.

I'm thinking it's time to change the spark plug wires too.

I just don't want to spend too much on guesswork.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Steven
