Thanks for your replies. Please notice I said I seldom used it. I did so seldom precisely because I KNEW the repercussions. OTOH, I've been pouring money into my van since I bought it because the two POs were inept and had a lot of money. It was a triage situation. My biggest worry with it was not that it would eat itself but that it may stop working while open. The two POs spent lots on upgrades and repairs but didn't have a need/desire to truly provide SaL her due love. The last PO in fact, John Waldon of CT namely, is a lying SoB. Told me SaL was road ready but she wasn't even safe to drive.
