Neil, thanks ! Part of the mystery solved. That photo in the first link shows the heater control switch with one of the spade terminals having a brown (ground I will presume) wire going to it, the second spade terminal has nothing connected to it, is this the case or is that wire missing from the photo is my next question ! The wiring diagram in the second link may be of some help if I can trace the wires going to that control switch, not easy !
