Yep. The switch has been replaced. It was not resetting to the off position unless done manually. It seems strange that a few days ago the discussion was about the Passenger side power window on a Vanagon.
I'm now looking for a driver's side power window motor.
Not sure how it happened, but the driver's side motor just quit working. I pulled the door panel and motor out to clean and lube it. After opening it up, found that the windings on the motor were shorted and melted in on spot. So I'm looking for a replacement. I'd love to get a new or rebuilt one. I checked with the vendors web sites and they show them, but they're out of stock, so I'm now asking list members.
If you have one available, please let me know.
