Rick, first, glad you are still alive! Second, I would think that subframe could be repaired by a good welding shop. I have one here and it is tube steel which could be cut out and replaced with new if you had a good welding shop that knows what they are doing. It would have to be removed and transported to the shop though which would be a little bit of a project.
