I've found up to 10 tiny intake leaks on the intake plunnum and runners. glad you found it . have had great luck with a listening hose held to the ear, and at various spots on engine.

also a 2 1/2 foot long hardwood listening stick .. amazing the sounds going on inside injectors, in the block. in the alternator etc.

have seen and heard lots of loose alternator bearings, and of course floppy-loose alternator mounting at the bottom of alt.
