X2. My 2001 TDI Beetle was very reliable. After 198,000 miles I sold it to a friend in 2011. Outside of regular maintenance I only replaced the injection pump and MAF sensor. It had the original clutch, too, with plenty of life still in it. My biggest gripe about the car was the interesting way of replacing headlight bulbs. And get this, I sold to a lady who proceeded to average 47MPG during her commute. Chris.
