Until recently I have not seen the coils fail often. I doubt I have done a dozen and I know of 5 in the past two years. I keep one on the shelf now. They are just getting old. I always give thought though to what may have caused it to fail.

I'm not going to post for the hundredth time why you should do it, but when you have problems not starting at certain temperature ranges, you suspect the coil, period. Maybe other things, but always the coil.
