There’s some sort of industrial teflon tape that can be used on the lower roller track to keep the new paint you’re going to put on, are you not ?, form getting wrecked and rusting again. Someone on this list recommended it awhile back and I don’t have the proper name or where to find it at hand right now. All I can say is I ordered it and have it on my newly repainted Westy and it works like a charm. No more loud noise or paint peeling on the track. Grease on the track is not the answer, those rollers have sealed bearings and the grease that’s needed is inside the bearing, sometimes you can judiciusly lift off the seals and insert more grease then put back the seals.
