Interesting! In Alaska the word "Camai" is widely used by many people of all stripes, principally from Anchorage west, but still heard all over. It's been more or less adopted by the State of Alaska, particularly in an effort to show tourists and anyone else how friendly Alaska is. It's a word of greeting like "hello" in the native language of the Yupik Eskimo peoples of the Yukon-Kuskokwin Rivers Delta. And thats for real - no Snopes. I lived amongst them for 5 years.
