Thanks, for some reason I thought that bolt went through and threaded into the engine case. I looked closer as you recommended and there was the nut. All came off with relative ease and my new gear driven starter from Van-Café is installed. Now we're ready to head south for the winter. Thanks, BobC
Just remove the air flow meter boot and use an open end wrench to loosen the nut. Then a short Allen key can be used to hold the bolt back while removing that nut. Hopefully that long bolt is not rusted to the cast iron bell housing. That can happen and it can make for a bad day. Dennis > |
