I have seen these in action. When new they are great. They do wear choppy and they get real noisy around there half-life. They are an all-terrain, not a winter performance tire. They will get you going in deep stuff but stopping and steering is not the same as being Hakkas or Vredesteins.  They are not really high speed tires either. This type of tire suffers from heat generation. You need to be at the 50 psi for the 1520 load capacity in warm weather.

Thanks.  Tire Rack gives them good press.  The reason I haven't found them before is because they are not metric, but rather 27x8.50.  I will check them out.  mcneely
