Hi John, I think you can find the Mobil 1 15 50 cheaper by either going to walmart and purchasing the 5 quart container, or look on line. I know that many of us on the list get it at Walmart because they seem to have the best price. My van has about 140 K miles and seems to like that oil more then the 20 50 Castrol I used to run. Fewer lifter chatter events even after long sitting. I’m not noticing any oil burn or leak issues. I didn’t have to add any oil this season and i’m still in the good lines with about 3,5000 miles on the oil.
Archives are great, but I appreciate the questions and answers as I often learn new things from the replies. Sometimes things that don’t even apply to the original question. So, along with the oil, consider using the mobil 1 oil filter. I had some oil light flicker when I first drove my van home. After changing to this oil and filter it has never been reported by my driver again. Eric Caron 85 GL Auto Westfalia
