Subject: Reminder of capacity of stock propane tank
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Dear Vanagon friends,

Good news, you can now camp with confidence near my Vanagon Westfalia. All the hardware has been replaced on my original propane tank. Tank was inspected and leak tested as well. The work was done at a local RV shop.

This is a good thing as in October I was clearly having a propane issue as I could hear hissing and smell propane for several minutes even after the tank was turned off.

So, thanks to Stuart M. for the help locating all the needed parts, and thanks for the many tips from this list.

Now, anyone know why my invoice shows they put 3.9 gallons into my tank?

Isn’t the actual capacity much less? And isn’t there a need to not fill to capacity.

I’d like a reminder as to the amount that should go into a empty tank.

Thanks folks. And, again, park near by with confidence.
