I'd suggest that using a scissor jack (or any jack?) under a control arm *might* pose a risk given movement of arm, and, would suggest that if used at front lower arm, vehicle weight might deform the lower arm mounting brackets. I've seen tire jockeys use a floor jack at the rear trailing arms but then they have two mount points.
