Air tool oil is going into a hot/warm use environment inside that tool with compressed air. How will it work to lubricate parts of a car that get very very cold during part of the year?

I am also a carpenter and have used nail-guns for many many years, lubing them daily with about 5 drops of oil as per manufactures specs...My senco guns are about 20yrs old now and have never had any dirt related problems....

I mentioned sewing machine grease earlier, which is different. Sewing machine oil, a very light pure oil used for instruments and of course sewing machines. But tool oil is much cheaper and you can get it anywhere. Hmmmm. Anyone know for sure?
