I'm just reviewing the Bentley getting ready to re-try getting that 86
transmission on the 1.9 engine later today. Fig 1 on page 30.6 talks about
marking position of pressure plate on flywheel before removing. Oops, I
didn't when I took it off yesterday to examine whether we'd damaged the
clutch disk splines in our previous attempts.
Is this a big problem? I can't see how the its rotational position on the
flywheel matters but, if it does, I'd rather not learn why the hard way.
