Jason,

Your van should be equipped with a pressure switch in the high pressure (discharge) freon line. One side of the switch should be connected to the A/C relay (or switch - can't remember with the '87) and the other side connected to the compressor clutch. As for evaporator fans - they don't have clutches, so I'm not sure what your meaning there.

When I bought my van, several electrical items were not plugged into the cor= rect connector.  I've finally got all of the connections correct, except the= AC.  I need a bit of assistance here. My compressor is a single wire type clutch.  Which wire does this plug into?=   I don't see anything that looks like the correct connector.  I've even tri= ed tracing wires back to the fuse panel in the closet.  I can't seem to find= any photos either. I'm fearing that someone took removed the wire for the clutch.  Last challen= ge is to get one of the evaporator fans to stop blowing its clutch. Cheers, Jason Ellis=
