One thing I noticed about the stock lighter is it's too shallow to hold the
standard plug for 12v devices, it always came loose.  12v accessory sockets
are deeper.

What is the secret to removing the cigarette lighter from the dash.  I
cannot see any way to remove this without destroying it.  I have the dash
out and on a table, but still cannot see any way to get it out.






It has been loose and wobbly in the dash for many many years so while its'
all apart for the heater I'm doing the "you might as wells".
