Maybe replacing the high pressure steel line with an appropriate rubber hydraulic line from pump to rack offers enough resilience to adequately adsorb the pump pulses and eliminate the noise. It sounds like a reasonable alternative. Check with your vendor to confirm it results in a quiet system. You shouldn't have to replace the return line unless it is failing.
