McMaster Carr has most anything. For M4 I am only familiar with .7 and .75
pitch. M6 is available in 1.0, .75, and .5.

All I've found are finer threads. This is for the windshield wiper assembly.
Any ideas?  Tried HF and Sears and Home Depot. They all have finer thread
taps.
