It depends on what one is trying to do. Run electronics or charge a house battery. Personally, I would prefer a simple (read " inexpensive") system to charge the house battery and plug USB converters into my 12V power connections. Takes care of both. Dave B.

I think it is a better value because it comes with a rechargeable battery, and everything I've read indicates that it is better for electronics to use the solar panel to charge the battery, and then the battery to charge the laptop, phone etc. The manufacturer has a good web site, with a couple of videos of their product installed on expeditionary vans. I'd be very interested in what an electronics expert like David Beierl thinks of these two products. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008HBRFD4/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=AQ9E692NXS2P&coliid=I3MLJPKN0MEN28&psc=1 Cheers, Anthony From: Abel Longoria <houstonphotog@GMAIL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Wednesday, February 24, 2016 12:07 PM Subject: REVIEW: Renogy 100w Solar Panel Suitcase Want a solar panel option you can get up and running on your Vanagon in less than an hour that costs about $285 total?
