Did this in the '80s when driving my '55 Chevy panel truck across country and back.  Cheap showers and no perceived attitude toward non-18-wheelers.   That truck, by the way, was no more and no less trouble on that trip than a Vanagon would be today. Adventures are out there. Stephen
