At some point restorations like this become a labor of love. The main thing
is the dedication to funding up front. Don't know the deal you made but the
hours and materials will add up fast. One of the reasons you don't see the
early vans getting so called restorations is that there is little value.
Folks seem to want only the 1991's or Syncros. The air cooled busses are
generally taken by those unaware or with limited funding. To me a fantastic
81 camper is a $5,995 vehicle at best> Only worth more for a "collector".
