I gained space a= nd time, and lost weight! What's not to like?=20 50lbs X 10cf X 2hrs X 17 years Space is at a premium on our vehicles. People in warm climates often remove the under seat heater to gain space. I would never consider that, but would still encourage them to modify their vehicle to suit their needs. For me, a Vanagon is a tool, not an investment. Angus Under seat heater? What are you talking about...oh, wait, yeah now I remember having one of those 15 years ago or so. Never could find a use for it. Anytime it's that cold I figure its a sign to turn South...

Still have it on the shelf though in the unlikely event that the van goes before I do.

A/C otoh, is quite useful for those 100+ days over 100F each year. YMMV.
