About 8 years ago, I installed a new OEM heater valve. It leaked from "day one". Just recently, installed same type of valve. No issues so far. There was discussion on this list about a run of new OEM valves that were flawed. If I recall, one could even test them by blocking the outlet and blowing air through them. Maybe it's taking a long time for vendors to sell off that stock? I may eat my words, but it's possible the new valve I recently installed may last some time. Neil.
