Tenth character in the VIN is the year designator, easy to spot because it's the first of the two letters in the middle of a string of numbers. L='90 and M='91. Vanagon year letters run from A (for '80) through M, skipping letter I. Anyone know the letter in the Vin that indicates year model for those years ? I know what it is for earlier vans, like up to 85 .. not sure if they go letter by letter though through the whole range up to 90 or 91. is my a 90, or a 91 ? thanks ! Scott
