Wet grass is hardly corrosinve, unless it's got salt water on it.

I'd be under your van on a regular basis with a spary can of some sort of heavy oil/grease type stuff. It's SO FUN to attach corrosion this way, rewarding, fun, easy. Beyond me why people don't do it. not doing would be like never brushing teeth.

one of the great things about Vanagons is good ground clearance, so unless a person can't get down on the ground, and back up .. there's no excuse to not see the underside now and then.

corrosion is cancer.. simple to deal with in the vast majority of cases. Oddly ...really odd to me, many people don't lube any tools, or equipment or anything.

I get free good stuff all the time, because people can't take 2 seconds to shoot some lube at something.

plus, it's a thousand times to deal with early ..rather than later when the metal is gone. and All Metal .. is trying, chemically, to get back to the earth or the oceans. So easy to prevent too.
