There is also a possibility the oil pump cover was installed with the wrong gasket. Ultimately a good engine install would include oil pressure testing cold through hot and ten a compression-leak down test to establish the baseline.

If the buzzer does not go off with a cold engine revved over 2,200 rpm then the wiring and warning circuit is most likely good. Now if the buzzer later goes off after the engine warms up then you either have the wrong sensor, wrong oil, wrong oil level, engine-oil over heating, or a poorly rebuilt engine. The latter is extremely common. There are few rebuilders with the ability to properly prepare and align bore the case to get new bearings to fit properly. There is a good chance those 96mm pistons may also be fitted with the wrong or defective rings and you may have to deal with that also. BTDT more than once! You stated that you had the motor installed. Did the installer also supply the motor? If so let the installer work it out and make sure the fix is not bypassing the oil pressure warning circuit. If not things will get ugly with warranty. Had a van here last Sunday with both the oil pressure circuit and low coolant circuit defeated to hide two problems. The van was sold to him this way. Someone knew.

Hey everyone, just had a rebuilt 2.2 installed in my 88 Syncro and the oil buzzer goes off as soon as the motor warms up,and stays on no matter what the rpms are, etc.... The buzzer would go off at random with the old motor in the van but I attributed it to an old worn out motor. Electrical is a really weak area for me, so I'm fishing for any suggestions you guys can give. Thanks
