The long rear shift linkage rod attaches to the side of the tranny
through a guide bushing. The bushing is mounted in a plate that bolts to
the side of the tranny with 2 bolts. The 2 bolts attach to holes in 2
small ears that stick out from the side of the tranny. In many trannys
the plate can be wrongly mounted on the rear side of the ears.
