Hi-I have had electrical problems I usually solved by troubleshooting , but this one is a first.My head lights stuck on high beam last night


I have had my headlights go out at night on a road trip before and it forced me to pull over and camp til morning.
The high-low beam has worked OK in this 84 Westfalia I have used for 10 years.
I can't remember what I did to fix the headlights that went out that time, or figure out why the head lights stayed on high beam last night.
I haven't worked on VW's much the last ten yeas so my memory is a bit rusty.
Any ideas where to look are greatly appreciated.
